Albany : Georgia

Albany is a city located in southwest Georgia and a county seat of  Dougherty County. It is the principal city of the Albany, Georgia Metropolitan Statistical Area. 
Albany is also known as the “Quail Hunting Capital of the World". One tradition says the community was named for James, Duke of York and Albany; another says it was named after Albany, NY. The climate of Albany is moderate with hot summers and cool winters where temperatures can reach as low as 15 degrees F.
